RALPH LAUREN - Vintage Sportswear

When looking for a great skirt that not only beats the heat but also raises the temperature, you will never go wrong when choosing a soft cotton print. Even better if it features a full button front that can be left open for a great flash of leg with each step. Now to make it a perfecta, select this vintage 1970s Ralph Lauren soft blue folkloric print that not only shows off your slim waist but also showcases your long legs. We call that perfectly modern vintage. Pair it now with a bold Gerda Monies necklace, and later with a rust suede Anne Klein jacket, when the weather turns colder.

FROCKOLOGY Style Tip:
When wearing a strong print don't always play it safe by pairing with solids, step outside the box and try a little mixology by choosing to incorporate different patterns that enhance or contrast the main pattern. Now put on your big girl skirt and give it a try.

FRCKOLOGY Style Tip:

We all know wearing clothing that is bare and body conscious can be very sexy, but can slid into hoochy with the ease of a breeze. However, something clinging to the body but covering it at the same time leaves more to the imagination. Trust us men will always create more with their imagination then is actual. Now isn't that a blessing in disguise.

FRANCO MOSCHINO - Modern vintage Sportswear

Franco Moschino always approached fashion with his tongue firmly planted in his cheek. He was the first to make fun of fashion while at the same time creating fun fashion. Taking a seriously tailored look and giving it a punch of unexpected color that goes pop, then trimming it with mismatched buttons that appear to be from the toy box of a playful child, is a perfect example of the Franco Moschino muse in action.

FROCKOLOGY Style Tip:

FROCKOLOGY Style Tip:
When wearing a bold print let it take center stage and use your accessories to direct attention to the print. This is easily accomplished by contrasting the print with a solid color that compliments but does not match exactly. Use this shade to make all your other pieces harmonious but not an exact match.
Example: Beige,Khaki,Smoke,Brown
Celadon,Leaf,Grass,Mint
You get the idea, now give it a try. It is a great way to make a bold print pop.

Casual is never an excuse for sloppy. It is even more important to think through your look when you are going casual. When dressing casual think accessories, a bold graphic piece of jewelry, great shades or a big colorful straw bag. Think of things that go POP when dressing in a simple comfortable way and let your accessories do the talking. Count on this, if you whisper you will never be noticed. Spring is the time for great statements and not just burning rubber in a 68 mustang convertible.

Remember that comfortable does not give you an excuse to be sloppy. A well cut caftan or a beautifully colored bohemian full length cotton isle dress or low cut simple print cotton pants and a crisp top will always look right and evoke envy. FROCKOLOGY Style Tip:
Be bold, be different, just say NO to traditional coloration. When it comes to leather the more pale the color the more valuable the leather as light colors show any blemish as if spotlighted. So don't be afraid, slip into the pale and if they stare take it as a compliment. Anytime you think outside the box you are sure to come up a winner in the fashion game.

MALCOLM STARR - Grey Flannel Never Looked So Good

Malcolm Starr
(click photo for more details)
American - Circa.1970s.

Sometimes you wish you could go to a dress event in your flannel bathrobe, you know you do. Well here is a great alternative, a gray wool flannel with beaded detail jumpsuit, almost like a onsie for adults. Elegant and comfortable now that is a great combo.
*
Frockology Care Tip:
We love a jumpsuit but also understand the pit falls of wearing on, going to the loo. So we recommend taking along a large cotton or rayon scarf (anything washable) to drape on the floor before taking down the jumpsuit. When finished just fold and place in a zip lock and back into your bag, presto you have relief.

GIORGIO ARMANI - Butterscotch Cream Stars

Giorgio Armani
(click photo for more details)
Italian - Circa.1980s.

We love Armani jackets for the fabulous fit as well as beautiful fabrics and feminine drape. If you haven't joined the cult of Armani, just wear one for a day and you will be first in line to join.
*
Frockology Style Tip:

When wearing a jacket with a distinctly sharp cut always add something very feminine to the mix and by feminine we don't think it has to be frilly, although there is nothing wrong with that choice either. We just mean something with a softer side that has some body consciousness about it, like silk crepe or cashmere. We think you get the idea, because we know you like those feeling against your skin as much as we do.

GIORGIO ARMANI - Sensual Sexy & Sheer

Giorgio Armani

Italian - Circa.1980s.

We love a blouse that is sensual as well as sexy and sheer, yet totally covered up. We got treasure but we aren't showing it to you. You better work!
*
Frockology Care Tip:
Always keep you delicate clothing off the hanger and stored folded yet without being crushed in a drawer. The brushing up against heaver items that might also have sharp edges will always snag and pull causing threads to run. We can't have that now can we.
